Job Description
Purpose:
To drive process optimization initiatives within Sourcing as well as major infrastructure projects from gap analysis over blueprinting up to (system) implementation to facilitate the execution of the adidas strategy. Own a selected area of process under the established Product-led organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure processes and supporting systems are designed to meet business needs and understood end-to-end by all relevant stakeholders
- Proactively connect/ liaise within Sourcing, GOPS and with subsidiaries and suppliers to understand existing process challenges
- Represent Sourcing in the Strategy & Programs department supporting the analysis of Sourcing business & system processes
- Identify process improvement potentials and – if applicable – related changes in Sourcing focused systems (eg. SAP ERP, Tradecard / GT Nexus, material / supplier management solutions)
- Support prioritization of process improvement projects based on business needs; assist in creating business cases by working collaboratively with other functions to allow for objective financial evaluation of key initiatives
- Participate in system solution evaluation exercises to ensure fulfillment of business requirements in line with LOs and Sourcing division needs
- Support implementation and change management with respect to large scale infrastructure projects potentially managing project sub modules / work streams (RFC management)
- Manage the network of Sourcing SMEs (subject matter experts) towards achieving process reengineering, alignment, and project milestones
- Ensure visibility and communication of project progress, issues, and risks to Sourcing stakeholders
- Ensure effective implementation and training of new business processes and system solutions in Sourcing
- Maintain up-to-date business process documentation and provide input to policies and SOP owners regarding relevant changes
Key Relationships:
- Proactively manage stakeholders, build relationships and manage communication in the Global Sourcing organization
- Stakeholders can relate to the following core functions:
- Global Operations (Footwear, Apparel and A&G Sourcing, Creation functions, Supply Chain incl. Logistics, etc.)
- Markets (SCM and Sales functions)
- Marketing (Brand Strategy, horizontal and vertical BU divisions)
- Corporate functions (e.g. Tech, Legal, Finance)
- Externals (Supplier, Logistic providers, IT vendors, etc.)

- Proven track record in managing change, training and documentation
- Experience in the extended area of Supply Chain Management
- Discipline in planning time management and organization skills
- Lean six-sigma certification or similar a plus
Requisite Education and Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge on Sourcing business, operations, process and systems needed
- Minimum 5-6 years of relevant work experience in Sourcing / SCM functions in a global Consumer Goods or Retail company
- Experience working in an agile environment a plus
- University degree, PMP and lean sigma certification a plus
