Vocational Training Council (VTC), established in 1982, has always been at the forefront of vocational and professional education and training (VPET). School for Higher and Professional Education (SHAPE)

The School for Higher and Professional Education (SHAPE) is a self-financed arm of the Vocational Training Council (VTC). It offers top-up bachelor degree and master’s degree programmes to VTC’s Higher Diploma graduates and other sub-degree and degree holders in collaboration with overseas universities. Applications are now invited for Term Executive Assistant II post at SHAPE.

Major Duties:
(a) To provide clerical support to the student admission and course administration teams, including creation and maintenance of database, preparation of statistics and reports;
(b) To perform general administrative duties and handle enquiries;
(c) To assist in website maintenance and preparation of marketing materials, and
(d) To provide logistics support in events.

(a) (i) 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) at Grade E / Level 2 or above, including English Language (Syllabus B)*, Chinese Language and Mathematics, or equivalent; OR
(ii) A combination of results in 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination at Level 2 or above in New Senior Secondary subjects / “Attained” or above in Applied Learning subjects / Grade E or above in Other Language subjects; and the 5 subjects should include English Language*, Chinese Language and Mathematics; OR
(iii) A recognised Certificate / Diploma / Foundation Diploma / Foundation Certificate, or Project Yi Jin;

  • Completion of Hong Kong Vocational English Programme (HKVEP) at Level 2 / Passing 5 specific VTC’s Vocational English Module Certificates is considered an alternative qualification.

(b) Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, including fluency in Putonghua, is definitely an advantage;
(c) Proficiency in computer software applications including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and Chinese word processing;
(d) Preference will be given to applicants with relevant work experience;
(e) Good communication, interpersonal and organisation skills;
(f) Detail-minded, able to work independently and be a good team player; and
(g) Candidates who posses knowledge / skills in Adobe software, e.g. Illustrator and Photoshop, would have an advantage.

(1) Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend a Computer Skills Test (CST) including document formatting, English and Chinese typing, and use of spreadsheet.
(2) The appointee may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and/or work on shift duty.
